Description: The Shnordic House renovation in Bath included a full redesign of both the exterior and interior. We added a new floor, creating a large master bedroom and office/studio space. This addition was seamlessly integrated into the home's layout.
Inside, we focused on space planning to enhance flow and experience, incorporating varying heights and strategic views to create a dynamic living environment. The design ensured a smooth transition between all areas.
For the exterior, we conducted a facade study, using natural materials to achieve a sleek, modern look that complements the surroundings. The result was a cohesive, modern home blending functionality, aesthetics, and flow.

Description:
Our clients had long been searching for the right location in Bingham to create their ideal family home. Once they found it, the existing layout didn’t suit their busy lifestyle.
Their brief was clear: a home that felt like a holiday retreat at the rear, while blending modestly into the Nottingham streetscape at the front.
We carried out a complete reconfiguration of the ground floor, extending to the rear and side. By making use of the underutilised side path, we reduced the need to push so far back into the garden, protecting outdoor space while unlocking more inside.
The staircase was relocated to create a striking double-height gallery, where new windows and a skylight now flood the heart of the home with natural light.
Upstairs, we added a bedroom above the garage, and on the ground floor we created open plan living, a snug, office, and generous utility. The garage has been future-proofed, ready to become an independent or connected annex if required.
The result is a home that balances two worlds at once—calm, resort-like living at the rear with a welcoming, village-appropriate front.

Location: Burton Joyce, Nottingham
Description: Description: After years of saving, our clients finally achieved their dream of living in Burton Joyce, close to friends and family. They found a house full of potential but in need of significant reworking to truly feel like home. The goal wasn’t more rooms, but a smarter, more functional layout that reflected how the family lived day to day.
Working closely with local builders, we designed to a clear budget, extending only where it mattered—the open-plan kitchen–dining space and the master bedroom, which now includes an ensuite and walk-in wardrobe. A new utility room was also added to support family life.
As part of a multi-generational living approach, the garage was converted into a self-contained annex for the clients’ parents, allowing them to stay close and enjoy time with their grandchildren. The result is a warm, connected family home that balances practicality, comfort, and togetherness.

Description: This project involved the revitalisation and extension of a Georgian four-bedroom detached house, carefully maintaining the front façade’s symmetry and historical aesthetic through thoughtful material choices and attention to detail.
At the rear, modern design elements created a seamless connection with the countryside, opening up the interior to the picturesque landscape. The interior design emphasised contemporary rural living, achieving a harmonious blend of tradition and modernity tailored to our clients' vision.

Description: After years of searching, our clients finally found their dream home in the perfect location. However, the property had been extended several times, resulting in a disjointed layout and dark, disconnected rooms. When both parents began working from home, the family lost their much-needed second living space — a vital breakout area for the children.
The design solution created a bright, open-plan kitchen–dining–snug space with seamless access to a new home office, all enjoying views of the garden. The garage was converted into a gym, and the design addressed the significant level change by introducing a raised terrace with steps to the lower garden, connecting the main living areas to a new outdoor entertainment zone.
The result is a cohesive, light-filled family home that now flows naturally between interior and exterior spaces, perfectly aligned with the family’s lifestyle.

Location: Bingham, Nottingham
Description: The clients moved into their dream home, but the internal layout didn’t function as they hoped. Years of piecemeal extensions had left the house with dark corridors, disconnected rooms, and no internal access to the garage. The utility and WC blocked all views from the kitchen to the garden — the space where the family wanted to spend most of their time.
Our proposal focused on restoring light, flow, and connection. A new, centrally positioned staircase transformed circulation and introduced daylight through well-placed skylights. In the loft, we gained valuable headspace by lowering the floor joists, avoiding the need for a costly roof rebuild.
Externally, the immediate landscape was redesigned to link directly with the kitchen and family areas, creating a seamless transition between inside and out. The result is a cohesive, light-filled home that now feels open, balanced, and deeply connected to its surroundings.

Location: Ravenshead, Nottingham
Description:The clients found their ideal home close to family and friends, but the property needed reworking to suit modern family life. Years of ad hoc extensions had created dark, disconnected spaces lacking flow.
The brief was to design a bright, connected family home — with an open-plan kitchen and dining space, improved first-floor layout, and a gallery-style staircase bringing light through the centre.
Set within Gedling’s Greenbelt, the design had to meet the 50% volume rule. By removing outdated additions and redistributing space, we created a larger, more cohesive layout that stayed within planning limits. Inspired by Georgian symmetry and softened through an orangery-style extension, the result blends timeless character with the flow of contemporary living.

Description: Private House Reconfiguration – Uppingham, Oakham.
Description: This project transforms a well-sized but disconnected home into a calm, design-led space tailored to the client’s lifestyle. Key moves include a double-height entrance, rear and side extension, and a reconfigured layout to improve flow, storage, and garden connection.
The garage becomes a flexible future room, while the first floor is reduced to 2–3 generous bedrooms, creating a master suite with dressing and en-suite. Material restraint and subtle detailing ensure the home complements the client’s art and furniture collection without feeling forced.#
The client came with a strong brief and a distinct aesthetic — our role was to distil that vision, elevate the layout, and protect design simplicity throughout. The result is a concept that balances long-term flexibility with immediate lifestyle fit, all rooted in the belief that every home should quietly reflect the people who live in it.

Description: Our clients purchased their dream plot near their golf club and close friends, but the existing bungalow—extended multiple times over the years—had resulted in a disjointed layout with dark, disconnected spaces. The steep site levels also meant they rarely enjoyed the expansive gardens or surrounding views.
Starting from the original footprint, we reimagined the home entirely, creating a four-bedroom residence over three floors. The new design introduces generous ground-floor balconies that connect the main family spaces directly to outdoor living areas, allowing the home to fully embrace its setting.
A basement level was added to house a gym, offices, and golf simulator, each with their own entertainment zones opening to the lower garden, transforming the property into a light-filled, multi-level home designed for both relaxation and play.

Location: Ravenshead, Nottingham
Description:The clients purchased a property in Ravenshead that had evolved through years of ad hoc renovations, resulting in a disjointed layout and inconsistent character. Located within Gedling’s Greenbelt, the home required a careful balance between planning compliance and the creation of a space that truly reflected the clients’ lifestyle.
A detailed Greenbelt study revealed that the property had already been extended beyond the allowable 50% volume increase. To bring it back within policy, we proposed a partial demolition and a considered rebuild — one that restructured the layout to improve flow, light, and connection to the surrounding landscape.
The design reuses the site’s potential while introducing clarity and proportion, aligning architecture and landscape as one composition. Given the natural changes in level across the site, integrated landscaping formed a key part of the proposal, grounding the new home within its setting and enhancing its relationship to the outdoors.
